CellMosaic’s maleimide activated KLH (Hemocyanin from Megathura crenulata) ML is designed for direct conjugation of KLH with proteins, peptides, or other ligands containing free sulfhydryl groups for use in immunization.
This product consists of a medium loaded KLH that has been modified with EMCS (N-(Ɛ-maleimidocaproyloxy) succinimide ester) to attach 10−30 maleimide groups per KLH molecule.
This product incorporates a slightly longer ethylene linker, making it more suitable for immunization. It also offers improved stability for labeling reactions.
Application
- Suitable for loading moderate number of Cys peptides and other hydrophilic thiol antigens onto KLH for immunization/antibody production.
