AqT® Dual Labeling Kits and Products

For many cell-based binding and internalization assays in ADC research, such as FACS, it is advantageous to directly label ADCs with detection molecules such as fluorescent dyes or biotin. However, ADCs constructed with traditional hydrophobic linkers often already carry a high drug load, approaching the limit of acceptable aggregation. As a result, additional labeling is typically avoided, and detection is instead performed using secondary reagents such as fluorescently labeled antibodies.

AqueaTether® (AqT®) linkers are proprietary biomaterials developed by CellMosaic to enable the efficient conjugation of highly hydrophobic small molecules to biomolecules. The linker’s hydroxyl groups form hydrogen-bonding networks with surrounding water, creating a stabilizing microenvironment that minimizes hydrophobic interactions and reduces aggregation or precipitation over time. This technology enables high-level labeling of hydrophobic molecules without compromising biomolecule integrity, while potentially improving stability and preserving biological activity.
